The BISE Gujranwala Matric Result 2026 will be announced on 6 August 2026 at 10:00 AM, together with all nine Punjab boards under the unified PBCC schedule. How to Check BISE Gujranwala Matric Result 2026
There are three reliable ways to check the Gujranwala Board matric result: the roll number search on bisegrw.edu.pk, the SMS service on code 800299, and the name-wise search. The website is the natural first choice — until 10:00 AM on result day, when the entire division logs in at once. That is when SMS earns its place, and the name search stands by for anyone whose roll number slip has gone missing. Here is each method in full.
By Roll Number — bisegrw.edu.pk
Your roll number belongs to you alone, which makes this the most accurate route. With your slip ready:
- Open the official website bisegrw.edu.pk
- Go to the Results section and select SSC Part 2, Annual 2026
- Type your roll number exactly as printed on the slip
- Submit — your full subject-wise result card appears on screen
Expect a crowd. In the first hour after 10:00 AM the official server takes serious load and pages will hang. Hammering refresh does nothing for you — hold off a few minutes, or switch to SMS.
By SMS — Code 800299
When the website is jammed or you have no data, SMS is the dependable fallback. It needs no internet and works on any phone:
- Open the messaging app and start a new message
- Type your roll number only — nothing else, no spaces
- Send it to 800299
- Your result arrives as a reply SMS within a few minutes
Standard SMS charges may apply. If ten minutes pass without a reply, the gateway is congested — wait before resending rather than stacking messages.
By Name — Without a Roll Number Slip
The board’s name-wise search reaches your result when the slip is lost. On bisegrw.edu.pk, open the Results section and choose Result by Name for Matric 2026. Enter your full name as registered with the board; across six districts, shared names are common, so confirm your entry through your father’s name, school, or registration number. This search typically goes live an hour or two after the main announcement.
The Gazette — Complete Official Record
The gazette is the board’s full result document — every candidate, every roll number, every grade in one file. Schools rely on it to check entire classes, and printed copies appear at the board office soon after the announcement. Once the result is declared, download the Matric (SSC) gazette PDF from bisegrw.edu.pk — some years it is split by group or district, so pick the right file — then press Ctrl+F and type your roll number to jump straight to your entry.
BISE Gujranwala Matric Result 2025 — A Record-Setting Year
Last year’s result was the best headline among Punjab’s big boards. 225,071 students appeared in Gujranwala’s matric exams and 158,863 passed, putting the pass percentage at 70.58% — clearly ahead of Lahore’s 65.32% and the strongest figure among the large boards.
The merit list made its own history. A record 19 students collectively secured the top three positions, with girls dominating the list:
| Position | Holders | Marks (out of 1200) |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | Shafayat Rasool, Alisha Zaib & Fatima Shireez (shared) | top score |
| 2nd | Muhammad Mohed & Muhammad Abdullah (shared) | 1186 |
| 3rd | Five students, incl. Irha Ferhan & Rubasha Ashraf (shared) | 1185 |
Three students sharing first place, five sharing third — the gap between the top nineteen candidates was a handful of marks. Government schools in the division also recorded a 65.9% pass rate in 2025, part of a province-wide improvement in public school results.
Result Date Pattern — Why 6 August This Year
Punjab’s matric result has been moving later each year: all nine boards announced on 9 July in 2024, then 24 July in 2025, and the confirmed date for 2026 is 6 August, following later exam schedules. Position holders will be honored on 5 August in the ceremony at the board office — so topper news on the 5th is your confirmation that the result is locked for the next morning.
| Year | Result Date | Gujranwala Pass % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 9 July | — |
| 2025 | 24 July | 70.58% |
| 2026 | 6 August (confirmed) | awaited |
Passing Marks 2026 — Is It 33% or 40%? The Confusion Explained
For the 10th class batch of 2026, the passing requirement is 33% in each subject — not 40%, despite what many pages claim. Here is what is actually happening, because this confusion is costing students real anxiety.
The IBCC has approved a new national grading policy raising passing marks from 33% to 40%, but it is being implemented in phases starting from 2026, beginning with 9th and 11th class students, with full adoption by 2028. Punjab’s own provincial notification was still pending as the 2026 annual exams approached. The current 10th class batch began matric under the old framework, so their result follows the existing 33% rule — theory and practical assessed separately in science subjects. The 40% bar reaches the matric result in 2027, when today’s 9th class batch arrives there.
Gujranwala Board Grading System 2026
| Grade | Percentage | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| A+ | 80% and above | Exceptional |
| A | 70% – 79% | Excellent |
| B | 60% – 69% | Very Good |
| C | 50% – 59% | Good |
| D | 40% – 49% | Fair |
| E | 33% – 39% | Satisfactory (Pass) |
Total marks for matric (Part 1 + Part 2 combined) are 1200 under the current scheme — last year’s second-position holders scored 1186 of them.
About BISE Gujranwala
Established in 1976, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Gujranwala serves one of the most populated belts of Punjab. Its six districts — Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, and Narowal — stretch across the heart of central Punjab’s industrial economy.
That geography shows in the candidate mix: Sialkot’s export-industry towns, Gujranwala’s dense urban schools, and the agricultural tehsils of Hafizabad and Narowal all sit under one board. With well over two lakh matric candidates a year, it runs one of the largest SSC programs in the province — and as the 2025 numbers showed, one of the best-performing ones.
Rechecking and Supplementary Exams
If a subject’s marks look wrong, do not panic — and do not accept it silently either. BISE Gujranwala accepts rechecking applications within 15 days of the result through its official website: open the rechecking section, select the subject, pay the per-paper fee, and submit before the deadline. Rechecking covers totaling errors and unmarked questions, not re-evaluation of answers.
Students who fall short in one or two subjects appear in the supplementary exams, usually held in October–November. Your passed subjects carry forward, so you only reappear in the failed ones — the year is not lost. Around 66,000 of last year’s candidates took this route; it is a normal part of the system, not an exception. Watch the board site for the form schedule.
What to Do After Your Result
Download and save your result card the same day — college admission offices will ask for it within the week. Then think honestly about your next step. Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, ICS, Commerce, and Arts each open different doors, and colleges across Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Gujrat open first-year admissions within days of the result. Choose the stream where your marks and your actual interest meet, not where your friends are going — that single decision shapes the next two years more than the result itself.

Final Words
If the numbers from last year tell Gujranwala’s students anything, it is this: nineteen of you can stand on the same podium, and seven in ten of you will pass. Result day nerves are real — every student from Daska to Narowal knows that feeling — but this board’s recent history leans in your favor. Keep your roll number slip ready, check through an official channel only, and whatever the marks say, treat them as a starting point, not a verdict. The exam is over; the next chapter — college, stream, goals — is still entirely in your hands.
